Abstract
The design of a school building is complex and should be carried out keeping in mind the needs of the teaching staff, especially in the case of artistic institutes, where particular activities are carried out in the laboratory. A useful tool, generally and unduly undervalued, is represented by the OPR (Owner's Project Requirements), a document that allows the Client to indicate the performance and functional requirements, the use expectations of the building and, to the designer, to set up correctly the project. This is the first step in the Commissioning process (ASHRAE, 2013) which aims to obtain a building that meets and satisfies the requirements of the project and the Client's expectations. Below is the case study of an Art School where a complex activity of research and involvement of the interested subjects was carried out.
